I was talking with some of my customers yesterday on my route. One was the mother of a beautiful young girl about a year old and her male neighbor who I have a known a longer. He makes the comment of how she is going to drive the boys crazy when she gets older. Mom does not want to think about that. I tell them that I raised four daughter of my own and that it is my proudest achievement. They have all grown up to be beautiful, strong, independent woman who can take care of themselves and their families. I tell her that she just needs to be honest and open with her and to tell her that no matter what they say boys really only want one thing. Of course the male neighbor at first takes offense to this statement. Then I explain that when boys are young they can have difficulty controlling their carnal urges. He then agrees and says that “we are all dogs.”
Now maybe not all boys feel like this but most of the men I have talked to all have said that they had strong sexual feelings and some at a very young age. It can take awhile for males to control these carnal urges and as we have seen with the sexual harassment issues coming out into our society some of them never learn how to control these urges and act appropriate with women. So it only cements my position and method of raising strong independent women. Be honest with your young females and explain to them about sex and the changes that happen for both sexes regarding this matter. Young women when going through biological changes can crave male attention. Now their craving is of an emotional nature where boys have carnal urges.
Now if a young lady has a strong male figure in their life it will help give them strength when wading through the carnal ascent of the young males they socialize with. If a young lady does not have a strong male influence in their lives at this time it can make them more vulnerable to the carnal urges of the young males. They may get confused and feel the need to indulge a males carnal urge in order to receive the emotional connection they are craving at this time. Which is why it is so important to be honest and open with them about such matters and let them know that if they want a strong emotional bond with a young male they must make them wait to explore their carnal desires until the young woman is comfortable with such exploration. The old saying is still true, if he truly loves you he will wait for you to be completely comfortable and ready to to explore the carnal side of the relationship.
